The following is a brief summary of the various projects and programs being implemented continuously throughout the year by the various departments in order to ensure the all-round development of the students.
The institute organizes Parent-Meeting to inform parents about the progress of their wards. The various issues related to students are discussed in the meeting and the views of parents are sought on the important issues. Their suggestions are incorporated in the teaching learning process.
‘MENTOR-MENTEE PROJECT’ performs activities of counseling of students. Each teacher is given the responsibility of 25 students to provide educational, social, economical and personal counseling and solution to the problems of students.
The scheme focuses closely on the students overall development. Mentors also try to solve their academic and personal problems. This is our mentor-mentee project which is a collaborative project between teachers and students.
The College is providing well equipped audio visual facilities to the students. It has made the teaching- learning process easier and effective for the students and teachers. The College has total 8 LCD projectors installed in different departments.
1 Bharari - Flannel board project is being run in the college to enhance the art skills among the college students. Poems, drawings, pictograph, special skills made by students are displayed through this medium once in a month. Many invited dignitaries have praised the event.
2 Something in the mind - Students are allowed to write (whatever they can) on the board in this project. In this activity students write thoughts, jokes, poems, charoli etc.
The youth festival is organized by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University to encourage skills like music, drama, dance, fine arts etc. In youth festival our college has special contribution. Students have performed in the festival with their skills in group songs, solo singing, classical singing, debate competition, painting, craft etc. The college has achieved great success in the form of group of Indian folk orchestra and students have brought laurels to the college by achieving medals at Zonal and National level.
These literary societies have been formed to inculcate aesthetics among the students of literature. Through this medium, the students get acknowledgement of different aspects of literature like drama, poetry, essays etc. which develops interest of students in literature. Students also get an opportunity to showcase their hidden talent through these literary societies. Over the past few years, active participation of the students in these literary societies has been the Hallmark of this activity.
‘Samidha’, an annual magazine is published with new theme every year. It is published in four sections like English, Marathi, Hindi, and Sanskrit. The topics of the writing are educational, cultural, political and literary. Articles, poems and other literary material are written by the students. Samidha was also awarded with second and third prize by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University.
Teachers and students from all the schools and college working under Nootan Vidarbha Shikshan Mandal organize the program on the occasion of the Teachers’ Day. The Music department of Mahila Mahavidyalaya Amravati presents a classical music program on this occasion.
College has age-old tradition to welcome New Year with Saraswati Poojan on 1st January.
On the occasion of the birth or death anniversary of the great leaders and great personalities, Book Exhibition is organized for teachers and students by the college library.
Annual Social Gathering is organized by the college with a view to provide platform to the students to exhibit their talent in art, music, dance, rangoli, handicraft, painting, drama etc.
In memory of late Babasaheb Khaparde, the founder of the institute,'Khaparde Vyakhyanmala ' is organized for the students and Amravatians. Renowned thinkers in political, social, educational and industrial fields are invited and students are provided opportunities to interact with them. This lecture series is held in the month of January by the institute.
NSS unit was established in the senior college in the academic session 1984-85. The awareness of our obligation towards society and the country is created through the various activities of National Service Scheme. Practical experience is provided for the all-round development of the students through NSS camps and other programs.
Communication between parents and teachers is essential for the all-round development of the students. For this purpose parents meeting is organized in the college. It is expected that parents should attend meeting annually to enquire about the progress of their wards.
Evening classes are run in the college by the ‘Sangeet Kala Academy’, Music department. This class offers training of vocal music, classical music, tabla, harmonium, guitar and violin. It is affiliated with ‘Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mandal’, Mumbai. The classes of Prarambhik to Visharad in music, along with two years Certificate Course in Sugam Sangeet are conducted.
National/ State level competition of Music is organized annually by the college and attractive prizes are distributed to the winners.
'Sanwad' project is run by the college with the purpose of having direct communication of college students with the different eminent personalities from different spheres of life. Students were blessed by the words of wisdom of former IPS officer Kiran Bedi , former MP Anandrao Adsul, honorable guardian minister Shri Pravin Pote, Dr. Avinash Saoji, Dr. Kamal Singh, Ex Vice- Chancellor of S.G.B.A.U., Amravati and senior officers of the Police department.
The Debate, Elocution and Writing clubs are formed to develop the writing and communication skills among the students. Through these clubs collegiate, inter collegiate, state and national level competitions are organized.
Tally, DTP, Web designing and short term certificate courses are being run to develop computer literacy among the college students. Internet is provided free of cost to the students.
Grievance Redressal and Counseling centre has been set up to solve the problems at the individual level and also to solve the economic difficulties of the students. Students may contact the professors below if needed.

Anniversaries of the great personalities and special days are organized by the students to remember the great persons.
In order to provide financial help to economically deprived students, the college has constituted Student Welfare committee. Uniforms, admission fees and bicycles are provided to the needy students. This is done through the donation given by the generous donors.
‘Career Counseling Center’ and ‘Placement Cell’ are run by the college. Under these programs, competitive examinations are conducted in the college campus during college time. The placement cell is an initiative that seeks to get job opportunities for students. After graduation, students are given information on various career options. These programs include interview techniques, group discussions, guidance of various experts and workshops. Also, students are provided study material and library facilities. Under the Placement Cell, students were given free training through TCS Company from 30th April 2018 to 22nd June 2018. The second batch was also trained by the TCS Company during the academic session 2018-19. Seven students from the first batch, five from the second and in third total 18 students have been selected by TCS Company.
The committee ‘Shaikshanik Unnati Samiti’ is constituted by the parent institute NVSM, Amravati, to monitor the academic process of the college. Under this innovative project, different subject groups are created and coordinators are appointed for these subject groups. The teachers submit the monthly report regarding academic, co-curricular, extracurricular and research activities to the concerned subject coordinator. After analyzing the report, coordinators forward these reports to the Principal for purusal. The Principal forwards these reports to ‘Shaikshanik Unnati Samiti’ for further action. The ‘Shaikshanik Unnati Samiti’ conveys its suggestions to the Principal if needed. This process has helped greatly in improving the coordination and smooth functioning of the entire academic process.
